About the role
Product Management Lead – VideoWe are seeking a Lead, Product Management for the Video team to drive video product development. This people management role suits someone who can grow a small team of product managers while remaining deeply engaged in the product work itself. You will guide a team of PMs while maintaining direct ownership of products across the full stack — video devices and firmware as well as platform software features, including parts of our AI stack. This includes partnering with ODMs on platform and component decisions, navigating specification tradeoffs, validating installation workflows, and ensuring hardware, firmware, and software come together as a polished end-to-end experience. This role spans both sides of the team: some of the PMs reporting to you work across hardware and software, and others work on pure software. Full-stack hardware and firmware experience is the harder profile to find, so that is what we are prioritizing here: senior PMs with a deep background in hardware and embedded systems who are ready to lead, or seasoned hardware, embedded, or systems engineers who have moved into product and want to build a team. What You'll Own A team of product managers on the Video team. Build, grow, and manage a team of PMs working across video hardware and software. End-to-end ownership of video products. Own strategy and development for high-impact video devices and the software features around them, from early concept through launch and ongoing iteration. Full-stack product definition across hardware, firmware, and software. Own requirements and tradeoffs across the complete experience, including platform software features and parts of the AI stack that power video. Make sure device, firmware, and software come together in a way that serves customers and installers. The installer and end-user experience in the field. Evaluate products through the eyes of the installer and end user. Surface friction in mounting, wiring, accessory kits, setup, and deployment, and resolve it before it becomes a field problem. Launch execution and lifecycle ownership. Shepherd key launches end to end, resolving launch-critical issues and driving post-launch improvements. Cross-functional alignment and decision making. Operate across hardware, firmware, software, operations, design, quality, and go-to-market functions.
What We're Looking For:
A track record of leading and developing PMs. You have built or managed PM teams and understand what it takes to bring out the best in people. You deliver honest feedback, invest in your team, and hold a high bar. Hands-on technical depth in hardware or embedded systems. You can hold your own in conversations about device architecture, component selection, and system-level constraints. You do not need to design the hardware, but you need to understand how it fits together well enough to push back when something does not add up. Comfort operating across the full hardware, firmware, and software stack. You think in systems and make sound prioritization calls that span disciplines. You are comfortable owning the device and firmware as well as the software features on top of it.A practical, get-it-done approach to hard problems. You hold a high bar for quality but know how to make smart tradeoffs to get products out the door. When a partner flags a delay or escalation, you pressure-test the situation and find a better path when one exists. Proven ability to drive complex cross-functional work. You know how to maintain momentum across many teams and external partners without letting quality or decision clarity slip. Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. You write sharp requirements, document decisions in a way that sticks, and communicate effectively with engineers, external partners, and senior leadership. Strong technical foundation. A background in engineering, computer science, math, or a similarly rigorous field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is required.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
