Full Stack Developer About the Institute of Foundation Models We are a dedicated research lab for building, understanding, using, and risk-managing foundation models. Strategic and innovative problem-solving skills will be instrumental in establishing MBZUAI as a global hub for high-performance computing in deep learning, driving impactful discoveries that inspire the next generation of AI pioneers. The Role We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to collaborate with Researchers and ML Engineers to produce AI applications and solutions based on next gen AI research. You'll be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with development teams and product managers to implement innovative software solutions based on requirements from internal and external stakeholders. Able to develop entire architecture, responsive design, user interaction, and user experience. Design client-side and server-side architecture Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software Create security and data protection settings Write technical documentation Work with researchers, data scientists and analysts to improve software Keep track of new development-related tools, frameworks, methods, and architectures. Contribute to research publications and represent MBZUAI at industry conferences and events, showcasing the institution's cutting-edge HPC and deep learning capabilities and establishing MBZUAI as a global leader in AI research and to the development of intellectual property and thought leadership in the field of high-performance computing for deep learning Perform all other duties as reasonably directed by the line manager that are commensurate with these functional objectives. Academic Qualifications Bachelor's Computer Science or relevant field required Master's or Ph. D. in Computer Science or relevant field preferred Professional Experience Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role Experience working with AI algorithms and the ability to develop systems accommodating AI related requirements Experience developing desktop and mobile applications Familiarity with common stacks Familiarity with AJAX, Git Hub & Git Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, Java Script, XML, jQuery)Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and Java Script frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js/NPM)Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical challenges.
