Project Controls InternProject Controls is a critical discipline within project management focused on planning, monitoring, and controlling project costs, schedules, and risks. The function provides accurate and timely data to support decision-making, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope. Key activities include schedule development and tracking, cost estimating and forecasting, risk management, and performance reporting. Project Controls acts as the project's financial and schedule watchdog, helping to identify issues early and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on track.What You'll DoAssist in maintaining and updating project schedules using scheduling softwareSupport cost tracking and budget monitoring activities.Help prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations.Collaborate with project managers and project controls professionals to gather and analyze project data.Participate in risk and change management documentation.Assist in data entry, document control, and maintain project records.Support continuous improvement initiatives within the project control's function.What you will learn:Gain practical experience in project scheduling, cost control, and reporting.Exposure to large-scale project management processes and tools.Opportunity to work alongside experienced project controls professionals.Develop skills in data analysis, risk management, and project documentation.What will you bring: (Qualifications)Education:Students actively enrolled in a degreed program and attending classes related to Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field with expected graduation date of December 2026- May 2028What makes you stand out:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What else do you need to know:Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Houston office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.Compensation And Other BenefitsPay Range $21.09-$37.09 USD HourlyThe final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location.
