About the role

Laundry TechTo provide the hospital, Long Term Care Center, Cedar Mountain Center and any other hospital facility with clean and sanitary linen. Starting wage $15.19/hour + more DOE.Able to read, understand and follow directions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Entry level. Will provide on the job training. Previous laundry experience is helpful, but not necessary. Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Must be able to perform a variety of routine duties and carry out assignments to completion with a minimum of supervision. Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to work as a member of a team. Interest in the welfare of the patients and visitors. Must be able to work around unpleasant odors and illnesses. Must have the ability to multi-task. May be required to have a valid clean active drivers license if retrieving or delivering laundry outbuildings. Weigh, chart, sort soiled linen, wash, dry and fold clean linen according to procedures. Mend and sew when necessary. Deliver clean and sanitary linen and personal clothing to designated areas. Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitary. May be requested to do other related duties for which the individual is qualified to perform.
