About the role
We are looking for an experienced Ansible Developer with strong expertise in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and enterprise deployment orchestration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing automation frameworks using Ansible and Ansible Tower/AWX, along with strong Linux administration and scripting skills.
The candidate should have experience automating infrastructure and application deployments across large-scale enterprise environments, supporting mission-critical production systems, and implementing DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise automation solutions using Ansible, Ansible Tower/AWX, and related DevOps tools.
Develop and manage reusable Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and custom modules.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patch management, and application deployments.
Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Configure and manage automation workflows using Ansible Tower/AWX.
Integrate Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and enterprise orchestration platforms.
Collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and application teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Support multi-platform environments, including Linux, Windows, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshoot automation failures, deployment issues, and complex infrastructure-related incidents.
Develop and implement automation standards, reusable frameworks, and operational best practices.
Ensure automation solutions follow enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards.
Participate in code reviews, automation testing, release planning, and production support activities.
Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
Lead technical discussions, share knowledge, and mentor junior engineers.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on expertise in:
Ansible automation and playbook development.
Ansible Tower / AWX administration and workflow management.
Linux administration and server management.
Shell scripting using Bash and PowerShell.
Infrastructure automation and configuration management.
CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment automation.
Git and version control systems.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale automation frameworks.
Experience automating deployments and infrastructure operations across large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of operating systems, networking concepts, and server administration.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and continuous delivery environments.
Ability to analyze complex infrastructure issues and implement scalable automation solutions.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Strong SQL querying skills and understanding of database fundamentals.
Experience with API troubleshooting, debugging, and integrations.
Understanding of REST APIs and API-based automation.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Familiarity with enterprise security, access management, and compliance standards.
