Administrative Assistant Join Newton-Wellesley Hospital's Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team and help support exceptional care for athletes and active patients of all levels. In this full-time Administrative Assistant role, you will be an essential part of a collaborative clinical environment, helping keep daily operations organized, patient-centered, and running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the go-to resource for a busy, team-oriented department. You will support providers who deliver advanced outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine care, including treatment for shoulder, knee, and ankle conditions. Your organization, communication, and customer service skills will directly contribute to a positive experience for patients, families, and care team members.
What You'll Do:
Provide administrative and clerical support for the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine team.
Answer and direct phone calls, greet callers and visitors, and respond to routine inquiries with professionalism and care.
Manage calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and help organize itineraries as needed.
Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Maintain department files, records, incoming mail, and email communications.
Support departmental operations while handling sensitive, complex, or confidential information appropriately.
Use Microsoft Office and standard office equipment to complete daily administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
What You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous administrative assistant or secretarial experience preferred; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and support multiple priorities in a professional environment.
