About the role
School Bus DriverWe are seeking a responsible and dedicated School Bus Driver to join our team, ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of students to and from school. The ideal candidate should prioritize safety, exhibit excellent communication skills, and have a genuine interest in the well-being of students.
Responsibilities:
Operate school buses in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
Ensure the safe embarkation and disembarkation of students at designated stops.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee the bus's mechanical fitness.
Create a positive and respectful environment on the bus for students.
Communicate and enforce safety rules to promote a secure transportation experience.
Assist students, especially those with special needs, in boarding and exiting the bus.
Follow assigned routes and schedules, making adjustments as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of the designated route and alternate routes.
Report any mechanical issues promptly and ensure the bus is in good working condition.
Keep the interior of the bus clean and organized.
Maintain open and effective communication with school staff, parents, and transportation coordinators.
Report any incidents, accidents, or disruptions during transportation promptly.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations.
Prior experience as a bus driver, preferably in a school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a diverse group of students with patience and understanding.
Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
