- Handle complex plaintiffs’ personal injury and medical malpractice matters from inception through resolution
- Develop case strategy and analyze complex factual and legal issues
- Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and factual investigations
- Manage discovery and other aspects of complex litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents
- Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and settlement negotiations
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and firm professionals on significant matters
- Develop and maintain client and referral relationships
- Identify and develop potential business opportunities
- 5+ years of litigation experience, including medical malpractice and/or sophisticated plaintiffs’ personal injury experience
- Experience handling complex, significant cases rather than primarily high-volume personal injury matters
- Strong academic and professional credentials
- Interest in developing business and client relationships
- Candidates with strong medical malpractice defense experience who are interested in transitioning to the plaintiffs’ side will also be considered
- Attorneys with sophisticated commercial litigation experience may also be considered if they have excellent credentials and a genuine interest in transitioning into plaintiffs’ personal injury work Location
