About the role
- Assists physicians, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties.
- Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
- Stocking and cleaning exam rooms
- Interviews patients to obtain their medical history.
- Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
- Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks.
- Removes sutures, changes dressings.
- Purchases and maintains supplies and equipment.
- Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments.
- Properly disposes of contaminated supplies.
- Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials.
- Assisting with procedures
- Wears PPE and follows COVID-19 protocols within our offices*The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
- EMR experience (eClinical Works preferred)
- CPR and first aid certification required
- This position is mainly in our Raynham office with hours in Plymouth office required as needed, including short notice of change in location for the day required.
- This position will also be cross-trained to assist with reception, if needed.*Prior Medical office experience in a comparable position with direct patient care is required*Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- May be standing for long periods of time
