Position Summary:
White Plains Hospital is seeking Board Certified OB Hospitalists (Laborists)to join a well-established, high-performing program in a busy tertiary care setting. White Plains Hospital is a proud member of the Montefiore Health System, serving as its tertiary hub of advanced care in the Hudson Valley.
Position Highlights:
- Per diem employed position. Minimum 2 shifts a month.12-hour shiftswith 24-hour in-house coverage
- No call requirement
- Approximately3,000 deliveries annually
- State-of-the-art Labor & Delivery unit with advanced technology
- High-acuity, well-supported clinical environment
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house obstetric coverage for L&D, including triage, labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Evaluate and manage obstetric emergencies in collaboration with the L&D team.
- Serve as first assist for cesarean deliveries, as needed.
- Monitor L&D activity, including fetal tracings and patient management plans.
- Provide postpartum care and clinical supervision of APPs.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, Certified Nurse Midwives, nurses, and other members of the care team.
- Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and obstetric emergency initiatives.

Qualifications:
- MD or DOActive or eligible for
- New York State medical licensure
- Completion of an OB/GYN residency
- Board Certified in OB/GYN2+ year experience preferred
- New graduates with OB/GYN Hospitalist Fellowship training will be considered
