About Us We are a nationally recognized fire protection company that engineers, fabricates, and installs fire sprinkler systems and alarms for structures including commercial buildings, government buildings, healthcare facilities, high-rise condominiums, and mixed-use projects. Job Summary Northstar Fire Protection is looking for an Fire Protection Project Manager to lead to the construction of quality and competitive Fire Protection systems in an ever-changing economy. #shambaugh #Northstar #LI-DF #LI-Onsite Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage multiple projects for Fire Protection Systems. Attend project jobsite meetings, start up meetings and understand the complete scope of work required for projects. Review and understand all of the project bid documents. Assist with change order estimates. Coordinate with General contractors and Construction managers for scheduling and other coordination types of meetings. Complete equipment submittals of various products for approvals. Assist accounting staff with billing information. Maintain and follow Operations and Maintenance manuals. Work as a team with our engineering and estimating staff. Submittal and retrieve permits from local AHJ. Purchasing of selected materials for your project. Assist and provide support for field operations. Able to see the overall requirements of customer satisfaction without losing sight of the details. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience leading the design, labor, and construction of fire protection protection systems in hospitals and other commercial / industrial buildings. Computer literate and comfortable with spreadsheets and computerized software programs. Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
