Job Information
Location: Racine, WI area (on-site, aluminum castings foundry)
Job Summary:
A shakeout operator separates aluminum castings from their sand molds after pouring and cooling, running shakeout equipment and vibrating tables to break the sand away, then moves the castings on to the next stage of production. This is physical, hands-on work in a safe, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove aluminum castings from sand molds after cooling. Operate shakeout equipment, vibrating tables, or other material handling equipment. Inspect castings for obvious defects such as cracks, incomplete fills, or damage. Transport castings and scrap materials using forklifts, hoists, or pallet jacks (if certified).Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. Assist with preventive maintenance and cleaning of foundry equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Work in high-temperature environments. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including heat-resistant clothing, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.

Manufacturing/foundry environment with exposure to heat, dust, noise, molten metal, and moving machinery. Details:
Pay: $20-22/hr to start, depending on experience
Shift:
1st shift, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (8.5 hrs on site, 30 min unpaid lunch)Contract position with a direct-hire opportunity after 520 hoursPPE: safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat or soft cap Hiring ASAP
