We are seeking motivated individuals to join us as Entry-Level Shipping & Receiving Technicians at our voltage regulator manufacturing and distribution facility in Eden, NC. Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Warehousing Accurately receive voltage regulators and materials from our plant in Brazil and local suppliers. Verify incoming shipments against packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents. Conduct detailed inspections for transit damage, packaging integrity, paint and finish quality, accessories, nameplates, oil levels, and signs of leakage. Document and photograph non-conformities, initiating appropriate reports for quality and safety follow-up. Maintain organized inventory with traceable serial numbers, ensuring efficient storage for easy retrieval. Outbound Shipping Perform final inspections to confirm units meet quality standards before shipping—checking paint, accessories, electrical connections, and cleanliness. Complete minor repairs and touch-ups for identified quality issues, including paint corrections or component replacements, as trained. Prepare units for transport, ensuring proper packaging, blocking, bracing, and securement on pallets. Verify and prepare shipping documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, and manuals. Record all transactions accurately in the ERP system and coordinate with carriers for timely pickups. Plant Support & Safety Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment safely, following all OSHA/EHS protocols and training. Assist with electrical maintenance, machinery installation, and plant startup activities under supervision. Support a safe working environment by adhering to PPE guidelines and lockout/tagout procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or GED.Previous experience in industrial shipping, receiving, warehousing, or inspection. Ability to read basic technical drawings and bills of materials. Basic computer proficiency (ERP systems, email, spreadsheets).Willingness to learn and operate forklifts, cranes, and rigging equipment through training and certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Electrical trade school or apprenticeship experience, particularly with high-voltage equipment such as transformers or voltage regulators. Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certifications. Spanish or Portuguese language skills. Experience in a manufacturing startup environment. Flexibility to cross-train and support different plant functions as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodations. Comfortable working around industrial equipment, forklifts, and suspended loads. Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and perform repetitive movements safely.
