Part Time Client Service RepresentativeVCA Orchard Plaza located in San Jose, California is looking for a Part Time Client Service Representative that has open availability for weekends!Our hospital is located in the South of San Jose, surrounded by residential homes, pet friendly apartments, condos, and townhouses which makes us a go to for pet parents in the area. We are a fast paced clinic, always welcoming new clients and patients. As an AAHA accredited hospital, we strive to provide excellent care to every patient that comes through our doors. The workplace culture here is family-like, built on respect, common goals and communication. Each team member is equally important in helping our patients and clients.Essential Functions:Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam roomsScheduling and confirming appointmentsPlacing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clientsPresenting and explaining fees, including processing paymentsRecommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptionsAnswering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondenceQualifications:At least one year of proven past experience helping customersHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalentExcellent listening and communication skillsCompassion for pets and peopleas well as awareness and understanding of others' reactionsProven decision-making skills to choose the most appropriate course of actionThe ability to integrate new information into problem-solvingProficiency in Microsoft OfficeThe ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal wasteBenefits: We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts and more!Wage range: $20.83 - $22.00
