The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for developing new products and enhancing existing products for the Insulation Systems business unit to increase sales and provide Johns Manville with a competitive advantage.. The Senior Product Engineer will be responsible for leading projects, conducting research, designing and running pilot/plant trials, developing intellectual property, and providing strategic technical direction for their dedicated product lines.. Support new product development and commercialization projects within the Performance Materials portfolio.. Work environment is typical of a research and development facility; when running pilot/plant trails may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc.. Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science preferred
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for mechanical design, detailing and compiling a bill of materials for customer manufactured automated machines and fixtures.. · Participate in and/or lead activities that promote continuous improvement, Altron’s Total Quality Systems and create a safe working environment.. 7 or more years of applicable machine design experience in automation combined with some higher education in mechanical engineering may be considered.. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine design with strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.. · Knowledge of mechanical drafting practices and machine and fixture building practices.
